MFT Wednesday Sketch 370...

Hey friends!  It is time for another Sketch Challenge over at MFT.  This weeks sketch is perfect for a CAS card!  I did a little simple watercoloring to create this background....

MFT WSC370

I heat embossed the Floral Fantasy Background on some watercolor paper.  Then I just added water and color to the blooms and leaves.  I only added shading in a few places just to keep it simple.  I die cut the card panel out of a Rectangle Stitched STAX and then die cut the Heart Peek-a-boo die into the front.  Next, I attached the watercolor panel to the white card base with foam tape.  I added the hugs sentiment die and some of those adorable little droplets to the card front.

Here is this weeks sketch.....

The MFT Challenge Blog will have lots more card sketch inspiration to see.  I hope you can play along with week!

I am so glad you stopped in and I hope to see you again soon!

{SSS} I like you a Waffle Lot...

Hello there!  I am stopping in today with a quick and easy card using a new set from the Simon Says Stamp Love Release.  The set is called Breakfast Buddies and it is so cute!  The images and sentiments are perfect for Valentines day so I wanted to whip up a quick card.

To create this card, I used a piece of Neenah 110b cardstock for the card base.  I used my score board and randomly scored lines along the base.  Next, I die cut the red heart and the black banner.  I attached the Red heart to the card with foam tape.  Next, I colored the waffle image with Copic makers and then heat embossed the sentiment on the black banner.  I attached those to the face of the card with another small piece of foam tape.

This card was so simple to make and this new set is just so cute!  Head on over to Simon Says to check out the latest release.  Thanks so much for coming by and have a great day!

Queen Candy Land Kit...

Hello friends!  I'm here today with a birthday card/tag combo using the new Candy Land kit from Queen and company.  This duo was SO easy to make because everything you see here, came inside the kit.

Queen and Co

The pattern paper pack that comes in the kit is so bright and cheery and perfect for any sweet concoction.  I used a piece to line the card base in the card and then simply attached a white piece along the bottom for the sentiment.  The sentiments you see here are included in the kit stamp set.  I built the little shaker box using the cookie jar dies and toppings that are also in the kit.  To finish of the card, I added a little twine bow.

To create the coordinating tag, I used some more patterned paper and then added that adorable shaker candy box.  I love that the die pierces the detail on the wrapper.  I added in a banner for the sentiment and finished it off with some ribbon and twine.  Perfect to add to a gift or gift bag for the birthday girl!

Queen and Co

So glad you stopped in today!  Hope you have enjoyed my projects.  Stop on over to the Queen and Company Shop to see more about this adorable kit.  Hope you have a great day!

MFT Sketch Challenge...

Hey there, crafty friends!  I am stopping in today with a new sketch card for the MFT Sketch challenge.  Here is my CAS card...

MFT Sketch 369

I used the Peek-a-boo Striped Heart die to create this fun look.  I die cut the heart out of the front panel and then did some ink blending with those gorgeous oxide inks on the actual card base.  I popped up the panel with foam tape for some dimension.  Next, I heat embossed the sentiment on the Sentiment Strip die and added that to the card.  I finished the card off with some ink blended heart dies, and a few sequins.

MFT Card Kit Release....

It's Card Kit Release time over at My Favorite Things!  This adorable new kit called Yay for You and its available now!

I have one last card to share using the kit...

MFT Jan 2018 Card Kit

To create this card, I did some rainbow alcohol inking on Yupo paper.  After that dried, I die cut the yay out of the inked paper.  I also used some black fun foam to create a backing for the Yay die.  I added that to the card front panel after I stamped the sentiments on the from. I attached more fun foam to the back of the card front and then added it to a card front lined with the black and white striped paper.  The kit?  So fun!

MFT Card Kit Countdown Day 2...

Hello there!  Today is day 2 of the MFT Card Kit Countdown.  If you love stamps and dies and you love to make cards, then these kits are for you.  Every month MFT releases a fun kit with a stamp set, dies and cardstock, and sometimes other fun details....each month is a different theme.  There is no subscription required, but once the kits are gone, they are gone!  This months kit will be available tonight, January 23rd at 8pm CST.

Here is a quick card using another YAY die from the set....

MFT Jan 2018 Card Kit

This card was simple to create.  I scored the card front panel and then die cut the YAY twice.

MFT Jan 2018 Card Kit

I added a piece of acetate to the back side and then created a double shaker box on the back....one for the yellow donuts and one for the lavender donuts (sold separately).  I added the shaker box to the card base with atg, so its glued down tight.

MFT January 2018 Card Kit

The shaker element is so much fun and I thought these colors were fun.  Nice and springy....since its so cold here!

Head on over to the MFT Blog for more card kit details and a list of the design team blogs to check out.  So glad you stopped in today!  I will be back with one more peek for the release later today.  Have a great day!

All the hearts...

Hello there!  It's Laurie Willison here with a couple of clean and simple Valentines cards.  If you follow my blog, you know I love white space!  I love to add simple details that make a pop.  I decided to make this first card nice and simple by using the die cuts from the Hearts Foam Front Die.

Queen and Company

I attached 2 of them to the card front, then peeled off the backing and added glitter to each of the hearts.  Last, I stamped the sentiment.  Clean and simple!

For this next card, I scored a piece of cardstock and then did a little ink blending.  I cut it down to 4x4.  I popped it up on a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" white card base...

Queen and Company

Last, I used the Heart Throb Kit to create this heart shaker box.  I love that stitched heart outline for die cut for the box!  Last, I added in the love die, also from the kit, to the top of the shaker box.  I added a coat of Nuvo clear glitter drops to the sentiment die for a little sparkle.

That is it from me today.  Hope you have enjoyed my cards.  So glad you stopped in!

Laurie
